Disc Two: Take a front row seat to the Olympics of off-road motorcycling – the 2006 International Six Day Enduro. This 48 minute broadcast video production features an up close look at the 81st International ISDE from Lake Taupo, New Zealand. The New Zealand landscape of forests, rolling hills, beautiful lakes and rivers provided a great venue for the ISDE tracks. Most of the riding took place in a pine forest comparable to forests in Scandinavia. From a clean blue lake, to the breathtaking fury of the Huka Falls, Lake Taupo sitting at the heart of the North Island's Volcanic Plateau has it all. Nestled on the shores of Lake Taupo, with the mighty mountains of Ruapehu, Tongariro and Ngaruahoe as a stunning backdrop, Taupo is a special place with something for everyone. As expected the Flyin’ Finns (Finland racers) transformed the event featuring 31 nations competing, from a battle of endurance in the mud and slush, to a test of high speed riding on the volcanic sand and ash of the local motocross track.
